"Congratulations, my son, you have performed for us far beyond all expectations, and we are now satisfied that you are one of the few who have received the calling. Without doubt you have been given talents and gifts. Our god has smiled upon you and now is the time for your choosing.

As I look at your abilities, I urge you toward the path of greater enlightenment. Become a scholar for our cause and become a priest and a teacher to spread our message. You obviously have the power to wield the knowledge we have given you to work the miracles of our faith. In truth I think that you even surpass me in that respect.

Others have observed you and your interaction with others. The 'enthusiasm', shall we say, that you have shown in the play-yard has been mentioned more than once. The number of fights you have been in and the eagerness with which you join them marks you as one who might be suited to the martial sect of our church. We have seen the bruises you gave to Arthur, Thomas and Jerome in your latest disagreement. And even though there were three of them, you have hardly a bruise. Do not mistake this as approval for your actions. Punishment will be forth coming.

Of course, perhaps neither of these choices suit your nature. Our religious order numbers many monks who prefer the solitude of monastery life. Content to help their communities as best as they can while contemplating their own enlightenment.

My purpose here is to see what is in your heart. These are only the most common paths chosen by our flock. Various permutations are possible, and success is sure to be yours regardless of what you choose. Meditate, my son, and think on what we have discussed here.

Your answer will come as it may, and whatever that answer is, it will be correct as long as you are always true to your self..."
